    Re:Mayweather!!! Why not berto???

Seriously though why not fight Berto at 147 who has a belt and a bloody good one at that..WBC.

No-one seem to be mentioning his name or putting him in the pot for a comeback fight, Thats if Mayweather is coming back.

I would love to see that fight. But he would never do it. If you were talking to floyd mayweather about possible opponents, and right as you were saying Andre Berto, floyd would cut you off and say "no money"

Although im a big fan of Berto, fact is, he barely beat the b-level Collazo. Floyd would pick him apart.

I thought Berto is with HBO ??? and wouldnt Mayweather get paid a fixed sum of amount by HBO?? From what i heard he wanted the fight on HBO regular..not PPV.....so if the fight is on PPV then he needs a bigger name than JMM or Berto.

That wouldn't be a wise career move for team Berto. He struggled against Collazo, so now you want to put him in the ring with Mayweather?

I respect Berto a lot, but he is at a crossroad. I'm not sure he is ready just yet for the elite (Cotto/Clottey/Mosley), so where does he go? Is Quintana a step up from Collazo? How about Cintron?

Yeah, but if he takes a tune up it wont be against Berto.. because Berto is no push over.. thats not a tune up imo...

a floyd berto fight is definitely a ppv event...

Also, HBO would have to pay FLoyd AND Berto, to be on regular HBO.. the money wouldnt be there...

If Floyd DOES IN FACT take a tune up on regular HBO, it will be a B fighter who will get like 500k...

I agree with you, but Floyd will give himself a copout and say Berto is worth no money. But if he's such a big draw like he claims he is, it wouldnt matter, and he'd get like 70/30 of the split.

JMM is pay per view worthy. Alot of people would spend that 50 on JMM and Floyd. Not De La Hoya/Floyd numbers but definately better than Floyd/Judah numbers. Berto is to green and barely got by Collazo. I want Berto to fight Collazo again.
