I think this is a reasonable route to take especially after just facing Barrera.

i was impressed with this Mezaache, but i thought that Thaxton had won the fight by 2 points, i was shocked with the scores, i think John Murray is supposed to be fighting him though next ? we will see no doubt Amir willl get his was undeservedly.

        He'll beat him easily.

Only reason he landed on Thaxton was Thaxton just kept leaning forwards, not rolling, idiot.

Mezzy doesn't hit that hard either.

I thought Thaxton was getting a rematch with Mezaache (this weeks edition of BoxingNews)? Saying that, it wouldn't suprise me if Warren is trying to land this fight.

Mezaache doesn't possess the power or skill to affect Khan and landing a Euro title only helps with his ranking. It's a good route before the next level, but i want to see him with a legit top 10 lightweight. That, or a Prescott rematch.

As soon as Mezaache won that belt I was thinking that Warren would try and get him in with Khan he holds the Euro title and has little power which is perfect for Khan even so he could have knocked Khan down with some of those punches he landed on Thaxton, I hope for a surprise Mezaache KO win but I see Khan winning by 6th round KO.

I'll believe it when I see it, but it does sound like a Warren decision. I thought he said Khan wasn't going to step down in class now. Put him in with Ali Funeka or Julio Diaz I say. Fighters who are in or around the top ten but aren't entirely exceptional.

Mezaache has a cracking chin! I think this could go the distance. He is a little slick but probably not fast enough or powerful to cause Khan to many problems. Probably either a late TKO or decision for Khan...

I would find this refreshing and would have a little bit more respect for him if he took this fight..Actually work his way up, fighting half decent fighters, winning the domestic and European titles rather than beating a tomato can and claiming he is world class..

Still wanna see a Prescott re-match

                  khan within 9 rounds.
                  No i think it's a good decision.

There are a few guys here who want him to face Thaxton (i dont know why lol). Since Khan beat Earl in about 72 seconds (who beat Thaxton), that should have been enough. But since this guy beat Thaxton too, maybe then some guys will shut up.

Not yet, maybe in around 5 or more fights, he will be facing these guys and for the major belts. He is only 22 and has had only 21 bouts

I hate the fact that Boxingscene attracts so many people who don't know boxing.

Now when did Earl beat Thaxton?

I'm cool with this fight as long as we get a Prescott rematch afterwards, or if he fights a respectable top 10 Lightweight.
