Do you look down on a fighter if he quits?

Simple question, if a fighter is taking a beating all night and at the end of a round he says thats it im done or he has a cut or some sort of injury and even though the doctor says he can fight the fighter says i dont want to continue.

I don't like it but I don't know what I hate more, a guy who does that, or a guy who fights just to survive.

But I dont' like it, but if I was the guy, I can see it. Why get your ass kicked more when you already got paid. It's his life, not mine.

We're throwing money into the fight, so I dont want to see someone quit because of a little cut, it all depends on the situation

Well we know your views. You were one of the most vocal people assisting that Cotto quitted, and also trying to make out that Morales,Chavez quitting did not count, because they were not prime.

I have a serious dislike for that. RJJ did it against Tarver 3rd fight and Calzaghe

Personally no, but it does not mean he did NOT quit.

No offense to you, and this isn't necessarily aimed at you directly, but I believe people who question fighters hearts, do that because they have never experienced the brutality of the sport and don't realize how hard it is. Yes I think there are instances when a fighter has fainted injury or decided not to continue when maybe they had more to give, but most of the time I believe that is because they prob shouldn't have been in the ring with that person in the first place. Or occasionally a fighter can break down mentally.

I still remember my first sparring session as a young teenager, I wanted to cry after because it was so hard, I remember going home and being close to tears because I found it so tough and didn't think id be able to do it again. That was only a SPARRING SESSION. I overcame and have actually had amateur fights, but the difference between pro and amateur is night and day.

So basically HELL NO!! I do not look down on a fighter if he quits, sometimes you dig down so deep, and you may not be knocked out, or injured but you literally have nothing left to give, sometimes I think people who don't box don't recognize the difference when a fighter has quit prematurely.
