It goes two ways though. Now Floyd will sell a lot more PPVs than he would have prior to Oscar and Hatton. Those two fights increased his drawing power. Look at this way. Oscar has fought some extremely powerful drawing machines in his career in some great mega fights. Yet the fight with Floyd does much better than any of those fights. The formula is everybody wants to see their favorite fighter fight Floyd. For the formula to work Floyd has to fight somebodies favorite fighter. Still the results speak for them selves.

Well the exchange rate was slightly over 2, so it was more like $42, which means you weren't paying 150% of what we were. The cost factor is negligable when both countries are rich, people can generally afford PPVs and your population is at x5 bigger than ours.

Hatton was the bigger draw in that fight. Now I'm not saying that Hatton would bring in exactly the same numbers against a nobody, but he would get a lot closer to them than Mayweather would against a nobody.

Hatton against a big draw would not do as well as Mayweather vrs a big draw. Your right that Hatton in the past has been ablse to do better with lesser known fighters than Floyd. The thing Floyd does have on his side at this point though is the interest built for his return.
