if cotto is so adaptable he should've beaten marg... in fact, imho he was on his way to beating marg, but his stamina gave out. this is way styles doesn't always make fights.
The Plasterito fight has a huge question mark on it, try and find another example but I know you'll just beat this to death.
Clottey and Abdullaev have very similar styles. Abdullaev pressured Cotto and had that very tight defense like Clottey. Cotto had his boxing shoes on that night and boxed a terrific fight. Abdullaev is a powerful dude, but I would say that Clottey is stronger. Abdullaev is probably faster. Clottey is like a bigger version of him.
Cotto knows what to do with a guy like this. I just hope a better Cotto shows up than the one against Jennings.
Do you even watch boxing? Abdullaev is not even close to the level of Clottey at all. Clottey is a beast at 147 and IF Cotto wins it's gonna be one of his toughest fights.

you got me
DAMN IT!! this guy got me
I've actually never watched boxing or boxed before in my life.
And this guy read right through it and exposed me.
Clottey has broken mentally in fights where he can't do what he wants to do (i.e. Margarito, Baldomir). This won't be an issue because Cotto isn't a pressure fighter. If Clottey was a bigger puncher, I would put money on him. However, Clottey doesn't sit down on his punches completely. He likes to throw counters out of his shell, and he is very good at this because of his athletism.
Cotto has better transitional offense and defense (on top of a superior jab). Cotto has good enough chops to take whatever he gets hit cleanly with from Clottey. Cotto's body attack may play a role in this fight, because he attacks very well to the body (and Clottey has a high guard).
