I agree with all that except the quicker part. I think Abdullaev is faster than Clottey. He could really let his shots ago. Especially when he was in there with someone other than Cotto.

I agree..although that was the only time I've see abdullaev (also saw them go at it in the olympics)..but the style is very similar..and to those saying Clottey is a bigger, stronger, and more powerful version of abdullaev...you're absolutely right..but Cotto is also bigger, stronger and more powerful AND more Experienced than his 140lb days..remember that!

Not even close. He's a decent sized welterweight, but not nearly as big as he's made out to be. Clottey being a super sized welterweight stems from the Corrales fight where he reportedly came in on fight night weighing 170. What people fail to realize is Clottey-Corrales was at a catch weight above 147, and when Joshua weighed in he was fully clothed. Against Gutierrez he weighed in at 158 pounds on fight night and only 156 pounds against Judah.

I dont know, Clottey himself said that he balloons up to 185lbs or something inbetween fights
I take that fight in short notice 1month so it was very hard for me to make the weight and on the day of the weigh i weigh 9pounds over so i have only 2hours to make 147 so after i make it the food, drinks and anything just go to my stomach easy so the day of the fight i weigh 175 but i told the person who weigh me to make it 170 pls are u people happy now and its pass so lets forget it cos its remind me of Corrales R.I.P
apparently this was confirmed by one of the reporters on this website. I mean damn, 175?

I know boriqua's are praying to Tito that cotto/clottey will be a replay of cotto/abdulleve, but its not. clottey is much bigger and more athletic.

Abdullaev was probably a little more technical, maybe a bit of a better puncher at the weight, but I think Clottey is quicker and harder to hit. Abdullaev is probably the best 140 pounder Cotto ever faced. He was a good fighter who really should have been undefeated going into the fight.

I never saw the fight, but I doubt Cotto is going to knock Clottey out. Anything is possible but I don't see it happening.

Clottey is like a bigger version of him.

Cotto knows what to do with a guy like this. I just hope a better Cotto shows up than the one against Jennings.
I totally agree. i said the same thing, when this fight was mentioned to happend. They have the same exact style. The only difference is that abdullaev threw more and was a bigger puncher at the weight, and a bit bigger than Cotto. In the other hand, Clottey throws less, but is way bigger than Cotto, stronger not that much.

Look how everyone disagreeing with you is a Cotto hater.
