First thing people tell you when u talk about boxing

Ok so i know alot of people who use to watch boxing but don't really watch it now. What i hate is when they tell me. The best don't fight the best. Really so then i go and tell them that they do i give them examples. Vasquez vs marquez, marquez vs manny. Hatton vs floyd. Dawson vs johnson etc..... Then they tell me that its corrupted. Then i tell them yeah it might be in some ways but didn't baseball go through a roids era or bball go through a dirty ref? Also they always reply don king is corrupted well don doesn't run boxing like he use to i tell them about current promotions. Eventually they give boxing a chance and they fall in love with it. Any of u guys get these replys from people that don't know the current state of boxing? By the way boxing hasnt been this great in a long time. I really think hbo will help built boxing even more

I try my best to avoid starting conversations about boxing with strangers…I’ve found that it will only piss me off…

Last time, I was at an airport terminal waiting to board, reading a Ring Mag and some dude started talking about boxing….i told him how the SFW division was loaded (for about 20mins…named fighters, strengths, potential matchups) and he rambled on about how crooked Don King was….i wanted to karate chop him across his throat

Their first reply is usually that there's not enough action in boxing and all they do is hold each other. Then they brag about UFC and you watch it and it's just two guys "resting" on top of each other trying to think of old people ****ing so they don't pop a boner.

My mate once asked me if you could go 2 X 3 minutes (amateur fight for most of nsb who would not know) all out. I walked off in disgust.

When ever I started talking about boxing with people in the non-virtual world, they always tell me to stop talking about boxing, or I don't watch boxing, or Your making me uncomfortable(rejection) So I decided to join a boxing forum.

one of my boys who watches both sports says he watches ufc more now because boxing isnt making great fights or there isnt that many good fighters. Then i relized he took the movie channel package instead of showtime. So he has never watched the vasquez vs marquez trilogy, chad vs glen. Never seen bad chad or darchinyan fight..ignorant ****s..

I almost never talk about boxing in my everyday life. The last time i remember talking boxing to a lot of people was Lewis-Tyson. The conversations were all the same, I would listen to them talk up Tyson to which I would respond Lewis is going to kill Tyson, to which they would say how much money do you want to bet on it to which I would laugh and say whatever ammount you want.

The general public does not know much about boxing and that is why I love ******** on it.
