Khan is a sublime fighter BUT let him beat a solid 135lb top 10 fighter then i would be more sold.

The Barrera that beat Hamed would own Khan imo.
I don't think its quite this simple. Khan was definitely much faster while the fight lasted, but it was expected that Barrera would come on in the mid to late rounds if he were to win. I think Khan still would have won without the cut, but Barrera didn't even get a chance to work when he was at his best.

I doubt Khan would have stopped him (although maybe), so Barrera would have had a chance to adapt later on in the fight. Also, for all we know Khan might have gotten tired by the mid to late rounds!

also, cut or no cut..and I loved Barrera..Khan was running at 90mph and Barrera at 30mph. It would have been much more embarrassing if it would have gone on much longer.
I can almost guarantee you that a fighter would rather be cut by the fists of his opponent and be KO'd or have the fight stopped because the other guy was too good than have the fight stopped because of a technicality, especially with someone like MAB.

It would only be truly embarassing if Khan got KO'd again immediately in his fights after or was exposed to be a bum because it would mean that his loss was to a bum, not a truly great fighter.

I had watched the slowmo of that headbutt.
Were if not for that headbutt, Barrera's left hook could have landed on Khan's chin and the fight would have a different outcome

all i ask is a rematch so we can see what realy would happen, i dont think khan has proved much, credit his defence is slightly better he got in and out well and he even took a few punches, that said blood not there it would have been rounds 6 - 8 where i think the damage would have been done, oh well it will be sad if he retires on this note, and khan should have more respect, stating he destroyed Barrera was crazy, he should a little more level headed now he has been blitzed in 54 seconds but still we here the same nonsense coming from him.

I suppose in Khans defence, the stuff he is saying is quite possibly what he was told to say by his promoters.

I dont think he really is that dumb to think he whooped a fit to be in the ring Barerra.................then again.....lol.

A fighter who has just been sparked needs to have belief in himself.I can see through that. Its a confidence thing.

i dont think khan has fought a legit top 15 contender? barrera was not althgouh the wbo somehow ranked him at 35 he beat sammy ventura and some rojas guy i think was his name... basically beat two nonprofessional boxers. at 35 hes nowhere near top 20. nobody else hes beat has even been near top 20?
