well, he couldnt make 140 anymore for a reason. Hes a bit short, but hes no smaller than Berto, Judah, or Quintana in reality. Jennings was probebly an average sized Welterweight, and Cotto looked noticably heavier than him.

hes not even that much smaller than Margarito. people always go on about Margarito's size advantage, but in real life the guy aint any bigger than Paul Williams, Cintron or Clottey. In fact, Clottey is probebly the biggest guy in the division. even Collazo and Mosley are Margaritoish size.

I doubt he would be comfortable at any lower weight class to be honest...

People talking about what is a normal WW this and that. About back in the day. Well back in the day, the WW were 5`6"-5'8", But not now, in this era a normal WW is 5`8"-5`10", so in his era Cotto is a small WW!!!!!!!!!!!!

He is a small Welter, but he is not too small for the division as is evidenced by the fact that he could no longer make 140.

there's a difference between small and undersized. cotto carries that 147 very well and has been physically stronger than many of his 147lb opposition, despite being the "smaller" dude. is he short for 147? by todays standard, yes, but he is by no means gonna be physically manhandled and tossed around the ring by the majority of other welterweights.

No. He's done fine as a WW. He got KO'd once, and it was thru accumulation.

He is much better at 147 than at 140.

He is also bigger than Mosley and Clottey.

stop trying to make cotto vs. pac seem like its not a total mismatch. cotto was never 100% at 140. he never belonged at 140.

cotto is a natural 147 lber. too bad there are huge dudes at 147.
