Hopkins is the man everybody loves to hate. He fights dirty and has a boring style. Hopkins has made every opponent he has faced look bad, including Roy Jones. Why did Trinidad want to fight him? It is the delusional nature of boxing. When you try to spend most of your time telling yourself that you are going to succeed, it is not hard to devalue and diminish things you don't like, and nobody likes Hopkins. Kelly Pavlik watched Hopkins make Calzaghe look bad yet he entered the ring against Hopkins thinking that he was going to get a knockout. Where did that delusion come from? Pavlik suddenly got the rude awakening that Trinidad got many years previously. Why didn't Pavlik learn by watching Trinidad's mistakes. Well, if fighters suddenly started doing that, boxing would no longer be a delusional sport!

I remember it like it was yesterday .......I didn't think Tito ever had a chance from day one and I told everybody in the barbershop on the afternoon of the fight.......they doubted B-Hop and was callin' Tito a beast......my confidence turned into nervousness when the bell rang for round 1......around the fifth round, I KNEW B-Hop had him and it was just a matter of time before he stopped him........that was a good night......B-Hop won the tournament and I lost my voice!
