    why not...

john murray or john thaxton next for khan?? now i know there are a lot of people who aren;t too keen on khan, i know i'm one. one of my main reason is he's always seen to be avoiding fresh young british talent and going on about fighting top 10 rank boxers, and he's now mentioned prescott, when we all know warren won;t have any of that. so, if khan is that good, why's he not in with murray. murray is british, undefeated, and has repeatedly called out khan. i recall him once saying "how can khan say hes the best lighweight on britian, when he;s not fought me and proved he's the best in lancashire". after murray's last fight, he delared that khan would get beat off mab and if he didn't then he'd knock him out in 2 rounds. this would be a huge, huge money spinner in the UK, so warren 5g's has no excuse on that front.

Thers's also thaxton. Granted, he got beat last time out, but it's an option, as he too has called out khan.

So, please, apart from him running scared, why's he not fighting Murray?

Warren handles Khan and just like what he did when he handled Hatton he would make Khan duck Murray the way Hatton ducked Witter...

Then the excuse would be Murray cant sell out his hometown blah blah blah..

I hear you, but I think murray would sell more tickets than Khan, no worries. A large percentage of Sat's crowd were MAB fans, and I know Murray has more local fans than Khan would fream of. Example, I'd consider paying PPV rights to see this and I'd defo buy a ticket. So, do you not think the money spinner card is nonsense??

As for ****ter, I think it got to the stage that Hatton knew he;d spark him clean out and didn;t want him having a pay day in the process

There is a score to settle....Murray has take over Khan in the BBC British P4P rankings!!! Unquestionable proof that Murray is better than Khan!! BBC said so!!

Seriously though, i agree, Murray and Khan should be the next for both of them. Problem is that most of the Khan fans arent hardcore fans and wouldnt understand the importance of this fight, it might not be as big a money spinner as we might think! Warren will avoid Murray, Khan will win a vacant belt against a tomato can, claim he has 'proved everyone wrong again init' and will continue to fight the homeless men he has been fighting for most of his career that only turn up at the ring for the promise of a burger afterwards!!

If you really believe that Murray has more fans than Khan then you're deluding yourself, Warren handles Khan and he would make him duck Murray just like Hatton ducked Witter..simple.

And if Murray is ranked higher and has more fans than Khan why does he need Khan?? He should go for the european/world titles..

I alway love to see a domestic fight especially against boxers who i think are 50-50 in their division, But if Warren can deny us a great domestic matchup in Hatton/Witter then am sure he would see NO the point in Khan/Murray....Who according to the papers would beat Murray easily .

well well well sage, a bit of recognsion for JM and rightly so.

now, if team khan see that, they must think "hang on, we need to put this record straight", yes or no??

Do you really think with Frank warren's record over the years with british fighter would suggest he would even look at Murray???

Warren doesnt make his fighter fight the best domestic rival, Apart from Joe Calzaghe who fought Robin reid he doesnt make then fight their rivals, Maccarinelli was duped into fighting Haye because they thought Haye was having trouble making the weight, If there was no advantages like that then Warren wouldnt make the fight.

He would tell us how Khan has fought Gomez, Limond or Earl but boxing fans knows those guys are past it when he fought them or they're super-featherweight, Am not getting my hopes up for this fight happening.

John Murray would be a good fight and one Khan would have great chance at winning. The only problem is, he isn't really a big name and hasn't fought anybody noteworthy. I would go as far as saying Khan has a better record than him. But saying that, this is the fight I want to see next for Khan. It would tell us a bit more about Khan's defence and would be a good stepping stone for him.

Thaxton isn't an option. He just isn't on Khan's level. He got beat by a guy who was 14-5 on his last time out, and didn't look good.

I would be happy seeing Khan vs D.Diaz, or Murray.

Thaxton is a no-no he would just be another Earl or gomez when Khan beats him, Murray would be a nice fight which Khan would win but i doubt Warren would make the fight unless Murray somehow wins a world title belt in the next year or so.

raycorey, i think you're deluding yourself pal. I'll guarantee Murray would have as many if not more ticket sales than Khan, or am I being daft?? No, serioulsy, I think he would.if it was in the north west of england, murray would sell tickets nay worries.

timba, granted re thaxton pal, i hear you, and was just putting it out there.

I think this is why the questions crops up, you say that khan should box diaz, if not murray?? how has he earned that fight?? surely this would be more of a miss match than thaxton?? if khan is as good as people make out then let him have a "warm up" against murray before he challenges for world tiltes.

for the record, i think i'd have khan to win against murray as murray takes too makny licks. saying that, looking at the power of khans punches the other night I dontl think murray has too much to worry about.
