bottom line is the fight was stopped in the fifth to give khan the victory..why the 5th round and not 1,2,3 or 4th rounds? although he was winning, there is always that chance barrera can land a shot on that weak chin,so why risk it?.they wanted to give khan a victory, thats the reason it was stopped in that round..

Naseem used to flail about all the time, no one mentions that he got rocked.
Yes, there are a lot of haters getting things out of perspective, Khan was never really hurt, still less rocked. And when he was hit with a hard punch he immediately clinched effectively, preventing any follow-up - something he has never done before. Just that one factor means his defence is a lot better than it used to be. Also, whenever he fired off a combination, his hands came straight back up to protect his chin, which has also never happened before. And he kept his chin tucked in for almost the entire fight, which he never used to do. And the fact that Khan's offence used to be wild, leaving him extremely open to counter, and is now far more disciplined, itself counts as a big improvement in his defence. Finally, his foot movement and positioning have also improved significantly. These are all very basic flaws that he has addressed, but the fact that they have been addressed makes a big difference. Even the current Barrera, even with that cut, would have beaten the pre-Roach Khan.

Naseem flailed about whether he got hit or not.

It was pretty much his style.

Let's see how khan does with a true lightweight that throws hundreds of punches like juan diaz! Khan thinks he's a bad ass, fight juan diaz and he will make khan quit!

In The News has just come out with the following report:
                    Khan could face Prescott again

Amir Khan has revealed he would be interested in having a rematch against the only man to beat him – Colombian Breidis Prescott.

The British lightweight star is on a high after a technical knockout win over ring legend Marco Antonio Barrera on Saturday night. His promoter Frank Warren says Khan could have a world title fight by the end of the year, but Khan claimed Prescott is on a list of potential opponents.

"I'm sure Prescott might be on the shortlist because we made a mistake in that fight which we won't make again," Khan told BBC Radio 5 Live. "Against Prescott we made that little mistake and we had to pay for it."

Khan was brutally knockout by Prescott inside a minute of their fight last September. But it seems unlikely that Warren would let Khan back in the ring with Prescott so soon after their last encounter. The Colombian has a brilliant record of 21 fights undefeated with 18 knockouts to his name.

Warren is instead thought to be lining Khan up for a crack at WBO, WBA and IBO world lightweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez. But Khan's coach Freddie Roach says he wants the Bolton boxer to have to-three more fights before a world title bout.

Warren is such a prick. Prescott is still a serious threat, but nowhere near as much of a threat as Marquez is. And Khan is several fights away from being ready for Marquez, who would destroy him if they fought now. Roach has it about right, saying he needs at least 3 more fights before fighting for the world championship, but will he overrule Warren? I don't see how Warren could make the fight if Roach were to put his foot down and threaten to resign as Khan's trainer.

Warren is even more cynical and even less interested in the long term welfare of his boxers than Don King is, IMO.

                      Khan's grades are like this:

Speed: A+ (he's as fast as anyone)
                      Power: B (hits hard)
Stamina: B (not fully tested, but excellent shape)
Chin: C/D [Its bad, can he keep it away from folks?]
Defense: C+ [getting better, relies on Speed]
                      Offense: B+ [excellent offensive fighter]
