The Khan fight made me sick to my stomach.

Me calling you "jimmy" was a response to you calling me a "muppet" and was backed up with other sentences that aided my arguement.

Are we supposed to be giving such huge props and recognition to a fighter who didn't even stop the other guy with his own hands?
Are we supposed to be making such decisive judgements on someone who got ktfo in one round in his previous fight because he was simply making the best out of the other fighters tough situation?
If Khan caused the cut it would be a huge difference. There would be no doubt that everything that happened in the ring was down to Khans fists, but in reality, before the cut Amir looked good, but he wasn't dominating Barerra until after he couldn't see anymore.Comment

Did Khan give Barrera a hard time? Did Khan dominate the rounds? Was Khan defending correctly and not allowing Barrera to hit him on the jaw? I'm pretty sure the fight answer stuff for Amir Khan.
And why wouldn't Khan be able to take up the victory? That's like saying Prescott wouldn't be happy beating Khan because he never gave him a chance, or didn't go easy on him after his first knockdown.

Anybody with half a brain will take this win for what it was; a solid win for Khan, but he still has much to prove.Comment

lol even though I've said multiple times (even in my first post that you probably didn't read) I'm not even a fan of either boxer and that I don't blame either of them for the cut but that I still really wanted to see a good fight between the both of them.
Even though I said it was how other people were reacting that made me make this thread?
Yet somehow I'm a Khan hater. Okay.
I'm done with you.Comment

1. Was Barerra having a hard time before the cut? No. Watch the fight again. And what the hell is with everyone praising Khan for keeping his hands up!!!!?!??!?!!?! What the hell is with that lol? That's the kind of comments an amateur fighter is supposed to be getting.
Here's some more questions for you.
Did Barerra suddenly start backing away from Khan all the time to protect the cut he KNEW was going to end the fight?
Was he backing away before the cut?
Could Barerra fight the fight he needed to with a cut that was big enough to end his chances less than two minutes into the fight?
2. EVERYTHING that happened to Khan in the Prescott match, was because of what Prescott did. Prescott stopped Khan. Prescot swung that left hook. Both men could see out of both eyes for the duration of that fight, and at the end of the day, Prescott can walk proud saying I KO'd Khan with my own hands.
Can Khan say that everything that happened in the Barerra fight was down to his own hands? No. He cant even put the stoppage down to his own hands.
Two totally different scenarios.Last edited by GrizzleBoy; 03-15-2009, 03:33 PM.Comment

The fight was a travesty. Yes, Khan looked good but there is no way the fight should have went past the 1st round. I have seen fights stopped on cuts that were not as bad as that one. I do find it ironic that the doctor waited until the 5th round to stop the fight. No way that happens in Vegas or any American venue.Comment
