No. If his corner pulled him when the referee and doctor would otherwise let him continue it's a loss, not a NC. Of course, that still raises a conveniently forgotten question. The purpose of stopping the fight for a cut has nothing to do with the result being 'unfair' in any way, it is because there is an unacceptable risk to the health of the boxer. If it was was so obvious that the fight should have been stopped then Barrera's corner should have thrown in the towel anyway. Remember, his corner knew more about the extent of the damage and the affect it was having on Barrera than either the referee or the doctor.Last edited by The_Visitation; 03-15-2009, 08:28 AM.Comment

No Rahman got the doc to stop the fight. If the corner pull u out for any reason its a TKO loss, If the doc stoped it before the 5th it was a NC, after the 4th it go's to the cardsComment

I think it was allowed to continue (by the ref and doc) as it was in the UK and gave Amir a win instead of a NCYeah. I disagree, I don't think it would have gone down differently anywhere else. The ref first gave the corner the chance to do something with it. When it was obvious they couldn't do much, he called in the doctor and then asked Barrera if he wished to continue. He did. The doctor was then called in a second time, and he stopped the fight. If you think about it, how many times have we seen that - the doc lets it continue on the first referral to him, but stops it on the second? Being in the UK had nothing to do with it.Comment
