Possible: Berto vs Urango.. HBO wants Zab Judah??

One of the names that has emerged as a possible challenger for welterweight titleholder Andre Berto is exciting junior welterweight titlist Juan Urango. Berto promoter Lou DiBella and Urango promoter Leon Margules of Seminole Warriors Boxing are discussing the bout, they both told ESPN.com. If made, it would headline HBO's "Boxing After Dark" on May 30, possibly from the Hard Rock resort in Hollywood, Fla. DiBella said he's talking about the fight with HBO (whose first choice is Zab Judah) and waiting for Urango to be approved as an opponent. Margules said he's also interested but needs to talk it over with his fighter. DiBella said former titleholder Carlos Quintana, whom he also promotes, is another possibility.
With tension mounting and their respective careers hanging in the balance, Amir Khan and Marco Antonio Barrera promise to let it all hang out on Saturday.

Why does HBO still want Zab fighting for titles??? i mean, i appreciated his talents and god given skills just as much as anyone, but it's been proven time and again that Zab can't keep up with the current title holders at WW, and Berto would definately punish him, but Berto vs Urango would be money and i would definately like to see, check out the quick hits plenty of nice fights trying to be set up.

Zab is kind of a name fighter. Berto can probably look impressive in the fight and Judah is not usually in boring fights.

Also maybe Zab will work on the cheap?

hell yeah they do... i mean, i give him credit, he definately puts on a helluva show for the first 4-5 rounds but after that it's not even close to competitive i would rather watch other matchup's like Berto vs Urango or Berto vs Quintana

yeah u bring up the main argument point for HBO, he is a name fighter and puts on a nice show, but he isn't relevant anymore, and yet... .... for some reason i would still watch his fights, i guess i play into hbo's game huh?

I do not understand why HBO would not accept Judah-Campbell, to me that is a more even fight then Berto-Judah. I guess they just want to bring in Judah to lose and not have him in fights he could possibly win.

Would be an interesting fight though because Judah might test Berto's chin early, and that is one question people have about Berto.

oh that would be a money fight, i would get sooooo cised for that fight at 140 of course, but they're talking Ortiz vs Andreas Kotelnik (31-2-1, 13 KOs) on the link i gave.... Kotelnik makes more sense boxing wise, but Ortiz vs Judah would be a silly fight... a battle i'd definately watch

I am not to picky I will watch any boxing I can, it is why I have HBO and Showtime. Besides you never know a it could end up as a great fight, something interesting always seems to happean in a Judah fight.

With PPV i am a little more discerning, especially with HBO PPV because I will get to see them a week later if I missed something special.

I don't want to see Berto in there with another Junior Welterweight. I'd rather see a Berto-Collazo rematch.
