    Freddie loves the attention.

And I'm glad it wasn't just me that was pissed about that.

I know Mike isn't the greatest human being to ever walk the Earth, and he's made a lot of mistakes, but damn, enough is enough.

I'm tired of seeing everybody **** on the man when he's down.

And to do so when you say you consider him a friend?

    That's low.

        who doesn't love attention?

everyone wants to be recognized in their own fields.

whether it's in a sport or work. in this case both.

If you don't want to give Mike a job, fine, don't give Mike a job.

But don't turn around and tell everybody in the world about it.

I'm sure Mike already felt like **** as it is, even having to ask for the job.
          i heard about that.

was it roach that aired it out though?

Yes, it was Roach. The article about it is probably still on one of the first 15 pages.

What? It had nothing to do with recognition or respect. It went like this.....

Iron Mike : Freddie, I hate to do this, but I'm in financial ruin.....Can you please give me a job at your gym, possibly as a trainer?

Freddie : Gee....Sorry Mike, I think we're booked. I just hired that lazy **** Michael Moorer as a trainer, you know, the one who needed Teddy Atlas to basically verbally **** him infront of the world before he'd get off his ass to capture the Heavyweight title?

Iron Mike : Oh.....I see. Well, listen.....Please don't tell anybody about this, okay? I don't want people to know even more about my personal life than they already do, y'know?

Freddie : Absolutely. You know you're my friend Mike, and I respect you. I would never do something like that to you.......

Iron Mike : Thanks for trying, Freddie....

              **Phone hangs up**

              **Numbers are heard being dialed**

Freddie : Yeah, this is Freddie Roach. Mike Tyson is completely bankrupt and hard up for money, he just reached out to me for a job and I shot the poor bastard right down. Let's go public with this, it'll draw more attention to me and Manny.....

Hey Iceman, could you elaborate further?

I'm reading "Four Kings" and seeing as I've read books on Duran, SRL and Hagler before, it's the stuff on Hearns, Steward and the Kronk system which is gripping me the most right now.

                I'd love to hear a first-hand account.
