Byrd vs. Riemer Lands on Klitschko-Gomez Undercard

Former WBO/IBF heavyweight champ Chris Byrd, who fought both Klitschko brothers, looks to continue his career at cruiserweight and face German fight Ralf Riemer in the chief support to Vitali Klitschko vs. Juan Carlos Gomez on March 21 in Stuttgart. Riemer, 8-6-2, is not exactly the toughest opponent around even at the national level.

I hope he wins. Mainly because if he died right after, his last fight woulndn't (hopefully) involve a hilarious fall.

Byrd? This guy is boring as **** to watch. His style is the type of style that turns many casual fans off.

I'm not interested in Byrd, but I see it's turning out to be a good fightcard with two others, namely Tony Thompson and Alexander Ustinov.

That was just suicide going down to light heavyweight after all those years as a heavyweight.

Chris Byrd is a really underrated fighter historically. I was there when he lost to my client Shaun George, he showed a lot of heart if little else. I wouldn't mind seeing Byrd in these sort of winnable fights because his skill is really beautiful to watch.

Thompson is also a good fighter, his stuff isn't appreciated by many but it's still nice to watch in it's own way.
