Well theres two reasons for that...

A. hes 40 years old trying to make 160 pounds....

B. Tarver was drained beyond drained... not making excuses.. bernard gets his props... then Winky... whose never fought above 160 a day in his life... and pavlik... who is also a MW.. and a one dimensional fighter...

These arent excuses... give bernard his props, especially considering his age... but they are valid points.
