I went and bought Roy's career dvd.Looking back at some of his old fights,I suddenly wasn't as impressed.A lot of the guys he fought should have never been in the ring with him in the first place.He built his superman reputation off of fighting bums.His victory over an out of shape Toney was boring.And he would never give him a rematch.The Virgil Hill fight was impressive,as well as the Ruiz fight.His fight with Tito was ok.When he defeated a young Hopkins it was a far cry from the Hopkins we see today.He never gave him a rematch.He never fought Gerald McClellan,never fought Chris Eubanks, never fought Nigel Benn,never fought Holyfield,never fought Terry Norris in his prime.I'm starting to think Roy is and was overrated.He had a chance to prove everyone wrong against Tarver in the third fight and loss badly. He never would fight Glen Johnson again despite what he says, and got destroyed and humiliated by Calzaghe.Doesn't sound like a great fighter to me.A great entertainer that gave great perfomances against so so opponents maybe,but not a great fighter.
