Rahman's Manager Kills Rumors, Boxing Return Planned

BoxingScene.com was advised by Steve Nelson, manager of former two-time heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman, that his fighter is NOT going to take part in a MMA fight with ex-WWE star Bobby Lashley. Rumors were running all over the place that Rahman would replace the recently suspended Ken Shamrock in a supporting undercard bout on the Roy Jones-Omar Sheika pay-per-view on March 21. [details]

that's great news.Rahman should never have taken the klitschko fight on 16 days notice(he was substitute for povetkin)because he was not in shape & never had a full training camp & was not ready for a championship fight.now he will never get another shot at wlad unless he fights dimitrenko next.dimitrenko(#1 wbo) probably wouldn't fight Rahman because he has chance of losing his rank.typical eastern European fighter who is protected.if these new guys(haye, arreola, dimitrenko, etc.)claim to be ready why not take on a guy like Rahman, tua, maskaev, peter, ruiz, toney, mccline ? That is how you prepare yourself for a title shot & at the same time earning your shot as well as eliminating the old recycled challengers.do you ever notice when a European wins a belt then loses it he fades away rather quickly.ibragimov,liahkovich,etc.I do hear both are training again so time will tell what impact they make.I want to see Rahman vs maskaev 3,or toney 3,but my #1 fight I want to see is if dimitrenko is another fraud or for real.fighting Rahman makes sense to me but dimitrenko won't fight him or dimitrenko vs toney

Hasim Rahman is a glass jawed joke who would get KO'd in any contact sport he played. Never has a person lived off a single fluke win more.

he has fought everyone.he's a 2 time champion.he's fought wlad on short notice, maskaev twice, tua twice,Holyfield,Barrett, corrie sanders, ruiz, toney twice, ones Sullivan.he's not the best but he never ducked anyone.none of todays heavyweights fight the best.vitali, wladimir,David haye, actually any European fighter doesn't fight the same caliber of fighters Rahman did.he was in alot of wars over the years.the klitschko loss means nothing.he got a million dollars & only trained for 16days.nice payday but was not in anywhere near good enough shape to fight wlad for 12 rounds.I expect that from a european thou.you probably like haye & think calzaghe was great so I don't take you to seriously.lennox lewis is great, ricky hatton is great as well in my eyes anyway.those 2 Brits earned respect by fighting everywhere.calzaghe won 2 name fights vs 40 & 43 hall of famers.why did he not fight them 10 years before they were in their primes?

              Roy Jones wanted Rahman.

And Bobby doesn't represent WWE anymore. He got patched over by ATT.
