Forrest vs. Martinez Agreement is Reached

BoxingScene.com has been advised that an agreement has finally been reached for a junior middleweight showdown between WBC champion Vernon Forrest and interim champion Sergio Martinez.

The purse bid scheduled for Friday has been cancelled by the WBC. As part of the deal, Forrest will be allowed to take an interim bout in the form of a non-title ten round tuneup. Martinez also has the option of taking a tuneup.

BoxingScene was told the fight will happen in July/August. Where the fight will land as far as television is unknown at the moment.

i have a feeling that ****roach forrest is gonna win this....sergio is kinda vulnerable to the 1-2(circling to the wrong side....) and he doesnt have the kind of style to make forrest go into **** mode....maybe forrest will be intimidated from the start though....that could help out martinez a lot...
