here is the real announcment from a newspaper in that town
Floyd Mayweather Plans Announcement, to Fight Pacquiao-Hatton Winner?
Collapse

Either way there is no way in the world he would announce that he is going to fight the Pac-Hatton winner because he has very little control over that. Why announce that instead of just trying to negotiate after the fight? He may announce that and then both Arum & Hatton's team will say that there fighting JMM next. I guess he could do it to put pressure on them from the public but I dont see that happening since they hate Floyd anyways.
However, I wouldnt be totally shocked if he did just come out and announce that he's making a comeback and will listen to offers or if he announces that he already has a deal done with JMM. Still, I think he wants Pac 1st if he had it his way
Yeah its speculation. He would wait until after the fight to make negotiations. I really dont want to see him fight Hatton again, it just isnt interesting when there are more interesting options like Cotto or Pac or even JMM.Comment

I agree. Im a huge Floyd fan but no one wants to see him come back to fight Hatton. I would 99.9% hate that fight. That only tenth I would maybe be ok with it is he he did it at 140 over in England but I still wouldnt want to see itComment

Gala on hold after Mayweather cancels

MIDDLETOWN — Boxing champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. has canceled his appearance at the Dream Center's annual fundraiser and gala, which as a result has been postponed indefinitely.
The gala had been scheduled for Friday, March 13, at the Manchester Inn and Conference Center, but a change in Mayweather's schedule forced organizers to delay the event.
Steve Hightower, a Dream Center board member, said Mayweather will make an announcement later in the week to explain his reasons for pulling out.
"The Mayweather camp apologized and has expressed their desire to assist in making the event successful at a time in the near future," Hightower said Tuesday, March 10.
Those who have purchased tickets for the event can get a refund from the board member they bought them from, or they can call Stephanie Thomas at (513) 423-4272, he said.
"While we regret the unfortunate circumstances that we find ourselves in, we would like to thank all of the supporters of the Dream Center, and we would like to reassure them that the forthcoming announcement (rescheduling the event) will be positive," Hightower said.
The annual gala is the largest fundraiser for the nonprofit soup kitchen on Yankee Road. Proceeds from the event account for about six to seven months of expenses for the Dream Center, which operates on a $140,000 annual budget, Hightower said.
"This (delay) will be a blow short-term to the ability of the Dream Center to continue to carry out its mission," Hightower said. "However, the board members are committed to continuing to seek donations and other means to continue to meet the needs of the Dream Center."
Mayweather, regarded by many as the best pound-for-pound boxer in the world, has won lightweight, light welterweight, welterweight and light middleweight boxing titles. He also recently appeared on "Dancing With the Stars."Comment

Floyd is going to come back i think. I sure hope so some good fights for him to secure his legacy as one of the best ever. Wins over Cotto, Mosley, and Pac would seal the deal.Comment
