          Overrated? Certainly not, fighters are not born knowing technique. Someone at some point had to teach them, so trainers are a huge component especially a fighters original trainer. I also think sparring partners deserve just as much credit, even someone like Mayweather had to get schooled in the gym by more experienced fighters in order to learn.

            you have to take it on a case by case basis. some guys just pick up boxing easily, other need to be taught boxing.
