I dont get why so many people on here always do stuff like that with guys like Cotto, Pac, and so on? So what Cotto is fighting Clottey. What is so special about that? He's the same exact size. That isnt anything special. When Cotto was at 140 is was far bigger then anyone at that weight. He was always a true WW fighting at 140. Who should he fear? Now he's at WW and he's the same size as everyone. If he's really good then who should he fear? Its so ****** for people to always compare that kind of stuff to Floyd. Name 1 reason why Cotto should fear these guys? What, because there good? Its not the same as Floyd at all. These guys are naturaly much bigger then Floyd. Him fighting those guys is not the same as Cotto fighting them at all. Cotto is not in his 4th weight division unaturaly. He's really still just in his very 1st division.
Are you guys seriously going to try to tell me that if Floyd was in his 1st division and a true full blown WW that he would be hesitatnt to fight a Margarito? He would destroy him. Why would he be hesitant to fight a Clottey? What would Clottey have for Floyd to fear if they were the same size P4P? He has nothing for Floyd to fear but they are not the same size P4P and there not even close. Again, if it was just about size then Floyd shouldve never even moved to WW. Its night & day when you compare Floyd with these guys. Tell Cotto or any of those WW's to go to there 4th & 5th divisions unaturaly and fight those guys. Then I would think its special. Why should you fear fighting guys your own size if youre a great fighter? I dont think these guys should get credit for that at all.
I feel the same way about guys like Pac & JMM. There resume is solid but every guy they fought was there own size. Why should they fear eachother or EM & MAB? Seriously why? Even when they move up in weight they still have always fought the same guys that they fought at the lower weights. JMM has a very good win over Diaz but Diaz just clearly loss to Campbell who is a solid fighter but definatly not a elite special fighter or anything. Pac moved up and fought David Diaz. Big deal. The Oscar win was great but it was for big time money, Oscar looked done, and he fought like a zombie. I will give Pac credit for the Hatton fight but again, Pac is far different from anyone else because he's got a freak body. He's huge even when he moves up. Floyd isnt like that. Pac right now will be just as big & strong if not bigger then anyone else at 140 and you know it. Is Floyd going to be just as big or stong as anyone at WW? Its not even close.
Pac or JMM still didnt fight someone like a Guzman who may have given them problems. They didnt fight a prime Casamayor or Chico. They didnt fight a prime Castillo or have to fight a Tszyu or Cotto at 140. There path is not nearly as hard as you guys try to make it out to be. They just fought eachother really and why should they fear eachother? Its the same for Cotto. Why should he fear a Margarito who to him looks slow & robotic and had no great wins when Cotto fought him. His only good win was against Cintron and a Clottey who was hurt but the Clottey fight probably made Cotto want to fight Margarito even more after he saw Clottey pick him apart. Even when Cotto fought Mosley the 1st thing Steward said was how much naturaly bigger & stronger Cotto looks compared to Shane. Why should Cotto fear him? Before that fight Shane wasnt even considered to be all that special anymore. Now why should Cotto fear Clottey or not fight him? He better fight him after he just got KO by Margarito. Once you lose like that then you have no choice but to fight the best to get your name back and again, why should he fear a guy his own size.
I swear peopel forget how much of a monster Chico was when Floyd fought him but Floyd had no fear because they were the same size. Castillo even made Floyd look like a little boy but Floyd moved up to fight him. Thats nothing special. When Cotto moves up and fights someone that he clearly is much smaller then, he will get major credit from me. Im not saying that he's a clown or anything. I think he's a great fighter but my point is that he shouldnt get extra credit for this. Its what he is supposed to do if he's great. Pac & JMM will always get a pass from the hispanic media & fans because he knows he can just fight the Mexican legends and get by on it even when there older, the same size, or even smaller.
