Ricky Hatton, the biggest fraud in boxing?.

haha, yah i thought that might be the case...

people who become famous the way he has sometimes get caught up in the fame. At least he is not a raging ******* like most famous people.
He still is a great boxer and a great guy.

I'll tell you what i am sick of...the hate that hatton gets about little petty bullshat. omg he refers to himself in the 3rd person...he charged too much for tickets...he keeps saying p4p title. In any sport, if i beat the #1 guy, i would consider myself that good. period. But this is my opinion, not to say that it is right.

Let's think of some other great fighters - Tyson, mayweather, Toney...They are all totally awesome fighters, but tyson ****d people and said he wanted to kill them and assaulted people, mayweather is obsessed with money and is such a douche outside of the ring, and toney is a huge thug...i hate listening to him talk.

He wants you to pay $100 to have your name printed in a programme, man of the people or what? .

Does anyone else think his man of the people spiel doesn't wash anymore?. These days it is brand Hatton and how much he can line his pockets with.

This isn't just a one off though apparently he did this for the Mayweather fight too and i remember before the Lazcano fight he wanted to charge people £200 to have their names printed on his shorts, which got laughed off his own forum for being such a shameful money making scam.

Now the supposed man of the people has his own clothing line . He keeps ****ing on about how much of a man of the people he is (literally every interview) when he hangs around with all sorts of celebrities and bleeds his fans dry.

Another one of his money making scams was for the Mayweather fight, Both him and Floyd got allocated 4000 tickets, Floyd passed these on at the standard price and Punch Promotions through sheer greed added on a 10% mark up on the tickets for the UK fans, some man of the people.

Yet another one, he charged fans £100 for the afterfight party in Manchester after the Lazcano fight. For this £100 you got to stand in a tent in a carpark while Hatton was in a seperate building and never even visited the official afterparty.

How many "men of the people" do you know that talk in the 3rd person?. Ricky 'Atton is just a man of the people ripping of his fans constantly init?. How deluded is he and how far has he drifted from reality that he is actually convinced he will be pound for pound number 1 if he beats Pacquiao. How many "men of the people" do you know that actually think of themselves as the most exciting fighter on the planet when he fights like **** and hugs and holds?.

You only have to read his autobiography (2005) to see just how big of a hypocrite he has become).

As a former Hatton fan, i hope Pacquaio smashed him to pieces .

Do you he think deals with such petty money making ideas? He probably don't even know about it.

I still like Hatton as a boxer, but haven't liked him much as a personality since the Mayweather fight. My favourite was the Lazcano fight was "One for the fans"....on PPV :S

He has got a contract with Sky so the Lazcano had to be on PPV because Sky had the rights.

Nah i haven't got his autograph. My old man went to one of them evenings which Ricky does and took something with him to get Ricky to sign. He got told of his people that Ricky doesn't sign stuff, but you could happily get your picture taken with him and hand over a lot of money to have them put it in a cheap frame for you. £100 a head and he can't even sign stuff for his fans.

The nights with Ricky Hatton are for charity, my mate went to one last year and he had no problems getting his gloves signed, He paid £55 and got a 4 course meal aswell.

Hatton is one of the most boring fighters in the sport. Right there with the Klitschkos, Hopkins, and any Euro fighter not named Abraham. Just because he's some Brit who drinks he has a huge following. Anytime he's stepped up in competition and fought someone who wasn't shot, he got his head handed to him. Collazo and Mayweather both made him look like the joke that he is. Hopefully Pac kills him once and for all.
