Whos Defense was bettr Mayweathr or Winky Wright?

I think Floyd's is better for a number of reason's. He can slip the punch or just block it while Winky can only block. Floyd's D allows you to counter easier. Floyd also has the only D that Ive ever seen tire guys out. I still dont know how it works but it the majority of his fights he can tire guys out with just his Defense. The #1 reason that I have always said that Floyd's D is better then Winky's is because he's the only fighter in the game and one of the only in history who can totally swtich his style from fight to fight and alot of teams even during a fight. We all know his normal D but then he will also switch to the crab style with his arms crossed, or he will sometimes keeps his arms out in front of him and try to pick you off with his gloves, or he can use the Winky style himself like he did in the Zab fight. I actually think he would use the Winky style if he fights Pac or Williams too. It works well against Southpaws. Zab was scoring some at 1st but once Floyd switched to the Winky style the fight was over

Everyone else just says **** it and gets hit on purposes? Not taking skills implies that Wright's defense is able to be duplicated by everyone.

Yeah, I don't think people realize how hard it is to duplicate that style.

Very true. PBF has a very east-coast fighter type of defense: rolling/turning with punches and countering with hooks and uppercuts. He uses it very effectively and its really cool to watch.

Winky, on the other hand, just covers up. The guys forearms are ridiculously long which allows him to block his whole body when he does that. It's not nearly as pretty as PBF's defense and it can also give him the appearance that he is getting hit a little bit. I expect that style to be VERY useful against Paul Williams, who can throw lots of punches from long range.

This is pretty much spot on. They are both very different and both work for them. PBF's style is more crowd pleasing so people would be more likely to vote it better.

I have also noticed Winky's arms and they are unusually proportioned. He is able to block most of his midsection and face at the same time while most people would have to pick between guarding the face and guarding the body.

I am also picking Winky to beat Williams and think a lot of people are underestimating him in this fight.

Yea Winky is very good at what he does infact he probably has perfected it. I like Floyd's def a little better, for one because he does not have the southpaw advantage. I also think Floyd has a little more versitility in his bag of tricks and he can turn his defense into offense better.

Although Winky's jab adds a lot to his def, so that has to be taken into account.

They are both great defensive fighters, I just prefer Floyd's overall flow a little better.
