Yea, if youre mentally strong you will keep fighting, especially if a title is on the line. Lacy wasnt even fighting for a title, thats heart.

Yeah, I don't think he did the right thing quitting to be honest. And Vitali is my favourite Heavy.

David Tua vs. Lewis. He had a torn rotator cup but knew it was his only shot at a title. It was also his left so it took away his money punch.

i thought he did but I could be wrong. Maybe it was just a hurt shoulder?

Im downloading the fight now, I just read an article on it and it said the Vitali crowd started to cheer for Byrd by the 7th round and that Vitali started missing with his slow shots and Byrd started to tee off on him, for all I know Vitali quit because Byrd was about to knock him out.

Ali fought for 14 rounds with a broken jaw against Norton.
Calzaghe fought one handed for 10 rounds and won.
As has been mentioned - Williams dislocated his entire shoulder.

                    The list is endless.

                    Vitali should not have quit.

I believe Vitali said that if he were able to do it again, he would've never quit.
