pac also got badly wobbled againsr Barrera, the ref steping in saved him from Barrera steam rolling him out of there, Pac definetly is not stonger than hatton and sus on the chin and body

          Crazy Statistics!

Did they give the power advantage to Manny Pacquiao? NO WAY!! Just look at who they fought. Hatton has fought at 140 & 147, all of his competition were heavy hitters & strong aggressive opposition. Manny fought at the lighter weights & there is NO WAY!!! that Manny's competition hit harder than Hatton's. Hatton's been fighting guys his size or bigger all his career & Manny has been fighting guys his size or smaller & fought to a stand still with at least two of them. Ricky Hatton made guys QUIT from his power or corners throw in the towel.

So people are trying to convince me that lil Manny who has been fighting smaller guys than Hatton all his career is going to move up and have more power than the bigger Hatton who has fought at higher weights against bigger punchers? NO WAY!! Before I wasn't sure but now I'm rolling with Hatton just because people are definitely underestimating Hatton like Manny is Superman against him.

Everyone is saying Hatton is going to forget his teaching by Floyd Sr and hold once he gets hit by Pacquiao but remember Pacquiao likes to brawl and was only able to out box the bigger slower Oscar De La Hoya and the weaker David Diaz. Everyone else he had to **** out with and once Hatton pressures him, Manny is going to go toe to toe with Hatton & I still give the edge to Hatton in power. Wouldn't be surprised if Pac got Ko'd.

Like when Margarito was the Under dog coming into the fight with Miguel Cotto fight or Manny Pacquiao going up against De La Hoya
or how about Sugar Shane Mosley going into his fight with Antonio Margarito? ha, ha, ha!! Wasn't Miguel Cotto, Oscar De La Hoya & Antonio Margarito the favorites? & what happened? UPSETS!! I'm riding with Hatton.

I didn't say there couldn't be an upset, upsets happen all the time. I was just laughing at someone making it out as if Hatton was the strong favourite and that Pac just might have an outside chance.

Pacquiao has 75% ko rate, Hatton 71% ko rate....

You can make the case for Manny facing better opposition over that period, but Hatton has KO'd guys in a higher weight class than Manny has fought in all but one fight. So the edge definitely lies with Ricky in power.

Another thing is the fan base/popularity. How do they figure Manny has an edge there? How many fans does Hatton have to bring across the pond to sew that one up? 50k?

All in all, I know that it is natural to have Pacquiao as the favorite but by the way this column is written, you would have to believe that Ricky has no chance to win this thing. I happen to dissagree with that assesment wholeheartedly. Hatton has a great shot to pull off this mini-upset and I would not be suprised at all if he does.

                  -Peace, Chase.

Pacquiao's ko rate 75%, Hatton 71% ko rate....Its the author's personal assessment & opinion not so accurate but somehow true based on great oppositions...assess these great fighters w/ a hall of fame careers, imagine who Marquez beats, who Barrera beats, who Morales beats...then who beat them by knock out & knock downs at their prime, it's Pacquiao....

                      Good call....

But i'm still for Pac. I think he has everything needed to outclass Hatton on every aspect of the game. I think he will surprisingly dominate the fight.... Just as everyone thought Del La Hoya would do against Pac.....

I just don't see Hatton on the same level. Let alone the level of Mayweather. I don't even understand why he wants to fight him again. That was just a total embarrassment. Mayweather laughed his way to the bank. It was a pure "I told you so" slap in the face of anyone doubting Money Mays abilities. Hatton had a punchers chance which never got through the defense of Mayweather. I see the same with Pac, though his defense is not great it will come down to his movement and speed which will outclass Hatton.

Anyway some people are basing Hatton winning on his performance with Pauli. That's just ****** IMO. That fight sealed the deal for me on Pac winning. I actually think he'll make Mayweather's win look weak. Can anyone say Pac and Mayweather late 09, former P4P VS current P4P? The money alone will draw "MONEY" May out of "retirement" IMO. Who knows...... wishful thinking???? Maybe so.

Back to the point, Manny Pac all the way man..... Either way who ever wins it will be a great accomplishment..... more so for Hatton I think.

Much much much respect to Hatton though. That dude will fight who ever unlike some other fighters that are quit popular on this forum.

                      just my 3 cents!
