That's the story of Calzaghe's career......

You might get RED K from some die hard Calzaghe fans that ignore some of his "truthful" comments. Anyway he did beat Jones, he just waited until Tarver ended his career. Its all good though......

Its like this........As I always have said and as Calzaghe felt himself. Anyone before 2003-04 couldn't touch Jones. FACT! But good on Joe he will make it into the HOF for 20 successful defenses and being undefeated...........

    and that's about it......

    No hate.....
Hey thanks! I am a firm believer that Jones was never the same after returning from heavyweight. It was obvious that he was nowhere near the same fighter in Tarver-I. It had more to do with Jones' decline than Tarver being a great fighter.(I do think that Tarver does 'some' things great though)

Tarver didn't end Jones. Father time did.

I strongly believe that nobody in or around that weight could have ever beaten a prime Roy Jones.

I think for us Hatton supporters, its going to be fun bumping all these threads after May 2nd! All the Pac fans - media included - are building themselves up for one heck of a fall lol...

Also, I get the feeling that there will be excuses flying about all over the place to discredit a Hatton win, where as if Manny wins, Hatton fans will accept the defeat.

lol i cant believe you hatton homers actually believe that he has a chance, floyd mayweather jr exposed him for what his is, a one dimentional B fighter at best, even though i thought pacman lost to marquez both times he is still 1B in the pound for pound rankings with marquez being 1A, hatton is nowhere near an elite fighter.

Hatton is ranked #8 in the P4P rankings, so check your facts before shooting your mouth off. And Mayweather was #1 when he beat Hatton, there's no shame in losing to him, especially as the fight was at Welterweight. You're just a hater, with no knowledge of boxing.

ranked 8th? thats right not 1? and that 8 is very generous who has he beat? he lost to collazo as well, and he didnt just loose to mayweather he got whooped he won only ONE round, old ass de la hoya was able to have one judge belive he beat mayweather if hatton would of lost competetively to mayweather there would be no shame, and you guys make to much of a deal of it being at welterweight its not that big of a deal if your great you can win at any weight pacman started at 106 and fought at 147, de la hoya started at 135 and fought up to 160 and you guys are making a big deal about 7 pounds???????

It will be a good fight but I remember people saying the exact same things when Hatton was about to fight Mayweather.

I like Hatton but I truly believe Pac will just dominate and outclass Hatton on every level but the holding and fighting on the inside.....

and no.... his fans STILL dont admit Mayweather outlcassed him. It will be the same when Pac wins. They will think of something.....

the ref has been played out..... it will be something else....

Mayweather has won almost every round against most of his opponents. De La Hoya at 154 was a much bigger fighter so that's a silly comparison.

Hatton's divisional record is one of the best in the sport, and I said why in detail earlier in this thread, so I won't repeat myself. Pac's has a better overall record, obviously, that's why he's P4P #1. But to pretend Hatton doesn't have an exceptional divisional record is just ignorant.

As for being able to move up in weight, some fighters have a frame and body type that allows them to do that successfully, others don't, but that says nothing about how good they are in their peak division. Some fighters have to move up, whether they like it or not, as happened to Campbell - it's just down to your body type. Bob Foster is ranked by boxrec as the third greatest Light Heavyweight of all time but was starched whenever he tried to move up to Heavyweight, even when his opponents weren't truly elite Heavyweights; and he couldn't carry his power up with him when he gained weight, but he's still ranked by The Ring as the 17th greatest P4P puncher of all time. Hagler spent his entire career at one weight, and no one who is honest knows how well he'd have fought if he'd moved up. Hopkins moved up because he had to, he'd become weight drained at Middleweight. Hagler never had any trouble making the weight. They just have different body types. That doesn't make Hopkins the better fighter.

As for Collazo, you're entitled to your opinion about who should have won, but the fact is that Hatton won, whether you like it or not. Look it up on boxrec. And many boxing experts scored it to Hatton, others to Collazo, but all said it was very close; and no very close fight can ever be called a robbery. And when it isn't a robbery and you call it one, that makes you a whiner.

I like Pac to win by KO, but this **** seems a lil biased.
