    Is Tua the best boxer with the least opportunity?

    His record is superb but he never won a major title...

    Wins = 49
    KOs = 44
    Losses = 3
    Draw = 1

    Do you think Tua was not given good opportunity to fight for title (except for Lenox) .. I don't understand why he was not given a chance to fight for title after that draw with Rahman.... that was his last 12-rounder fight and became a journeyman...

    What do you think happened to him aside from poor management?

    I think Tua is wasted.....

    Seriously though, Tua had his opportunities, he just never took them.

      So did Toney, but Toney managed to be a great fighter despite the handicap.

        Indeed, Tua was also too passive in his fights, he'd just plod forward looking to land his big shot while losing rounds, Rocky Juarez reminds me of him.

          Tua is fairly disposable, he wasn't particularly unique in any aspect except his diminutive stature. Thinking of Toney on the other hand somewhat depresses me, as I'm not sure boxing will ever see a fighter in that style appear on the world stage again.

            Yeah, Toney at his very best was something special to watch, Tua was Tua.

              Skillwise, I think Tua has nothing other than KO power...

                Tua's inactivity has kept him from a title shot as well as making some good $$$. It's ironic that Tua has continually priced himself out of fights and as a result has not fought at all- and leaving him with no payday period. It has never made much business sense to me...

                  He had two title shots, lost both times. NOPE.
