Izzy manned up and fought wit the damaged nose for a few rds before he decided he just couldn't do it. he gave an honest effort to keep goin, so you can't call that a ***** move. But yea, he quit. He did so in order to be able to fight anotha day, and he did that successfully the next 2 times, and he was busted up badly in both. No questioning the man's greatness.

You also don't see him smart enough to try and outbox him, which would probably get him atleast 2 out of 3 with Izzy.
So, realistically, who seems smarter?

For the record, I wasn't really questioning the idea of him 'quitting.'
Under most circumstances, I dislike it. But there are exceptions to every rule.
What I'm questioning is him calling him a quitter, then implying that that automatically disqualifies him from being great.
I labelled the thread to draw more attention to something that I found interesting. If you notic, the poll isn't REALLY about him quitting. It's about his overall statement.

Its not whether or not he quit that I have the issue with, its what the modern, immature boxing culture associates with the word "quit". Israel Vazquez is a brave warrior, he would never give up a fight he could win, ever. Its similar to the Cotto situation. Neither guy pulled a "No mas", they gave it all they had, and in that sense they are not "quitters".
So I say off base.
