How would kirkland beat mayweather if kirkland doesent even have defense?...although kirkland was eating big punches from Joel Julio and wasnt getting fazed by them he cant do that with mayweather..thats a mistake u cant do to an elite fighter(leave ur chin exposed thinking ur the terminator) look what happened to Kelly Pavlik in round 2 of the first fight with Taylor and Taylor doesent even have a big knockout ratio..Kirkland would have to be in top defense when boxing mayweather or else he'll lose a 120-108 UD decision and his career will go down like Calzaghe did to Lacy..Kirkland is good young and exciting but hes not ready for guys Mayweather/Forrest/P.Williams/Sergio Martinez...he should fight guys like Angulo, Verno Phillips, Cintron, Mayorga and i think if he really wants to go up in competition he should fight Daniel Santos..But no Mayweathers yet..he's not ready like that

Kirkland doesn't need defense against a guy who barely throws in comparison, especially at that weight.
