actually...Puerto Rico isnt a country. Its part of America. so in reality, America is the only country to produce a champion in every weight class.


Still, its created some amazing fighters. cheers to Puerto Rico.
who would you rate as their top five fighters of all time? Benitez, Trinidad, Wil Gomez, and Carlos DeLeon would probebly be at the top of the list. Im trying to pick number 5...might be Carlos Ortiz.

does it really matter,country or not this post was to give cong**** for the 5k and to admire the kind of champion boxing pedigree that PUERTO RICO has to offer,right when i first read this thread i kinda knew where it was ultimatly going to lead.all i can do i just laugh it off and be proud to be a part of the U.S.A,alot of countries would freaking die to have the opportunities that we have been given.its probably why puerto rico was voted 2008 happiest carribean island.

Good list man, but my favorite one has to be Wilfredo Gomez, i just don't know why, but there is something about him that i like, maybe his style and the aggression towards his opponents.

The way he took out Carlos Zarate was out of this world.
