Hypocrisy on this board is an awesome sight to see.
I honestly think it's a shame that this "warrior" mentality that the fans expect can cause a fighter to really harm himself.

Margarito should NOT have gotten up from his stool in the 9th. But because he believes he has to live up to this ridiculous standard, he put his health in jeopardy.

I respect the courage, but I don't think it was the smart thing to do. I think we as fans being so quick to label a fighter a quitter or a ***** make fighters more liable to do that kind of ****, and that's a shame.

He got a serious gash on his eye that went from the brow practically into the eye lid.

What could have happened had he continued fighting, getting punched on that cut, making it deeper into the lid?

It could have ended his career and his ability to make money for his family.

For him, it was the smart choice because it could have serious impact on his career.

Yes, its the same exact thing people give Cotto a pass for.

Why let everybody put all the blame on Mayweather and not Cotto because they didn't fight.?????????????

Floyd made Arum a decent counter-offer for 10 mil a peice for Hatton and Cotto.

              Bob said he was delirious.

Floyd went on to make over 60 million fighting Hatton.

PEOPLE SHOULD BE CALLING ARUM CRAZY

THEY SHOULD BE BLAIMING BOB..........like they do Palle......................!!!

Yeah, Floyd made 60 million for fighting Hatton.

Are you just pretending to be that ******?

I agree somewhat, because I don't think in some cases, the fighters really care what the fans think because they are the ones putting their health on the line, not us.

But, some fighters do care, because they know its what attracts fans to watch them in the first place. Their willingness to continue despite the circumstances is what lures people in.
