The Mexican culture and mentality is very different that the Puerto rican one. In Mexico it's a discrace to take a knee or throw in the white towel. I'm not saying it's the only way to be, I'm just mearly pointing that out.

Even Marg, after the beating he was taking against Mosley, decided to get KNocked out instead of allowing his corner to call the fight. Some may not agree with it, but it's the way it is.

I'm not saying no Mexican has ever quit, I'm just saying it's part of Mexican culture, which is very different than the Puerto Rican one.

Ok I see it's also the Mexican culture to add Plaster of Paris to there golves too..

Roberto (The Mexican culture) Guerrero quit..

Come on man, you have to come up with better than that to criticize him!
I aint criticizing him. He's my favorite fighter. Just cause I said he quit doesn't mean I'm criticizing him, stop being a little ***** about it. When a guy takes two voluntary knees and throws no punches HE WANTS OUT. The guy had NOTHING left. There is no shame in that. He left his heart in that ring, and that's why he's my favorite fighter.

People have a hard time differentiating between saying he did quit while not criticizing him for it.

I say he quit too, but it doesn't change my opinion of him as a fighter.

However, some people get too attached to a fighter and it clouds their reasoning.

The funny thing about this thread, is that here, Cotto gets a pass for being concerned about his health and future in the sport of boxing,

but Robert Guerrero, took flak for the very same thing.
