Hopkins: Pacquaio will catch Hatton coming in!

J/K
I give Hatton a good chance. Depends on his game plan and whether or not he can stick to it. Box (like May Sr. appears to be want him to) and he gets laced from the outside. Play rough and he better hope the ref is lenient enough not to deduct points. If that happens, he will probably get frustrated and run into another left hook and get KO'd by the ring post.
Pac late T/KO though.
I seriously hope Hatton doesn't win. We will never hear the last of the "pound for pound title" crap that keeps falling out of his mouth.

I haven't seen many people who have Hatton down as a stagnant target. On the contrary, almost everyone here gives him a good chance of winning.
And without wanting to sound rude, aren't you a huge Mayweather fan? So a Hatton victory makes Floyd look better, right?
And I'm sorry, but Malignaggi is not very good. He had nothing at all to fear in that fight.
Secondly, holistically, Malignaggi might be a little limited and undoubtedly pales in comparison to Pacquiao. Granted. However, I was specifically referring to one of his better attributes, foot movement and ring generalship, which I might even consider better than Pacquiao's.
I assure you, there will be times in the fight where Manny will be forced to fight going backwards. I hope for Ricky's sake, it's most of the time. Otherwise he gets annihilated.
Ricky needs the to put on the performance of his life, and then some. Call it intuition, because I very well maybe wrong, but I think he pulls it off. I genuinely believe I see something others are missing (even some those who are picking Hatton).Last edited by deliveryman; 03-09-2009, 06:31 PM.Comment

I'm also a Ricky Hatton fan. My support for Ricky Hatton in this fight has nothing to do with Floyd Mayweather. I admit I'm a little offended that you'd make that assumption about me. I've done my best to remain objective, regardless of favourites.

Once again, I agree that Hatton has a good chance. It'd be foolish to write him off. He is a strong and relentless fighter.

Ditto. I think from round one you will see Pac reaching Ricky and doing damage with his jab. He hit Oscar at will with it and Oscar is a supremely better defensive fighter than Hatton plus Oscar had a serious reach advantage. I actually like Hatton and if I had to pick a boxer to hang with he would probably be the coolest. Buttttt that dont change the fact that I think Manny has come into his own and will pound Ricky to a brutal stoppage.Comment
