I agree with Kirkland.... There is demand for the fight now, just think how much bigger the demand will be if both can stay undefeated 2-3 more fights.

Maybe Angulo can get the fight with Mayorga, which if he won would seriously raise his profile. Then stick him in with someone of the Cornelius Bundrage level to showcase his KO power going into a fight with Kirkland.

In the meantime take a handful of mid-level 154 names like Ouma, Roman, Bunema, Hearns (assuming he isnt scared), even Phillips, toss them in a bag and shake them up to choose Kirklands next two opponents.

If both survive (and they should) then they are ripe for a fight.

They're destined to meet and when they do it will be good.

Yeah yeah..heard it all before. Julio was suppose to be a big puncher and he walked through it..Name somebody on Angulo's resume with a pulse. Slow and mechanical will get exposed when he steps up in competition.

No he is a beast, I agree. Its just my opinion that he is a beast that is about to get checked. I hope I am wrong, I hope he makes it to Angulo.
Kirkland has had better competition. Angulo slow and methodical and couldnt keep up with the pace.

He isnt the fastest fighter, sure, but his workrate isnt low either. I cant see how he wouldnt keep up the pace. His methodical approach is what makes him dangerous: you have a brutal Mexican ****er who picks his spots and dictates the pace well. If you ask me, while both fighters are of the "reckless" breed, its the disciplined mentality Perro has that will take him farther than Kirkland.
Not trying to hate at all, I just dont see Kirkland ever being a dominant world champion.

Another rising junior middleweight prospect, Alfredo Angulo (15-0, 12KOs), is also making a big name for himself at the weight. Both fighters love to brawl, come forward and throw a lot of power punches. Both are also becoming solid contenders. Unless one of them is beaten along the way, a showdown will have to happen. pls get it done! I got Angulo by late stoppage or UD.

I mean, Kirkland and Angulo are very exciting, strong fighters but to me that fight could go either way. Kirkland fights good when he has a guy on the run but Angulo fights good when the fight is brought to him. Kirkland is going to run up on Angulo and Angulo is going to stand and fight & he is a good inside fighter. Kirkland got caught a couple of times with hard shots, even though he wasn't fazed much but just imaging if he comes in swinging wild and Angulo catches him. When/If that fight happens, it will be fought in the middle of the ring for sure. Kirkland is a tough S.O.B! On the night of their fight someone is getting carried out the ring.
