Not really 100% sure, but I do know that Cotto took more punches in that fight than any other, which is going to have an affect on his performance as well and cannot be factually overlooked. He was chinny at 140, and at 147 never faced anyone as big as Tony, nor did he take as many punches from a guy that big before.

He quit, it happens, its a part of the sport.

It's a moot point, If he did quit it was because he was being hit with illegal weapons. He didn't just quit under the force of Margacheato's natural ability.
