    simply a matter of time...

simply a matter of time until Kirkland fights a complete fighter and gets beaten badly. His movement and footwork is horrible and he gets baited into right hands, left hooks, combinations. His boxing skills are subpar put this together with a very poor defense and this is a recipe for disaster when he steps up to the next level. I like the kid he is exciting but Ann Wolf, who may have more of a calling as a fitness trainer, obviously can't get this kid where he needs to be skill wise.

Someone please tell me how Kirkland beats any of the top super welterweights with the sloppy performance he put on last night?

Yeah he's definetly gonna get hurt when he faces a puncher with good skill. Julio was backing up all night and hitting him with right hands with ease, He doesn't move his head at all and swings way too wild. And you're right about Ann Wolfe she's probably a better fitness trainer then actual boxing trainer. I mean damn she even said herself in the intro that she was living on the street homeless and stumbled on to boxing while watching it on tv and said she can beat up a girl and get paid. It's not like she was in boxing for a long period of time, Why would you have someone that was an amatuer training you? Other trainers might not have been fighters or even great fighters but at least they were around boxing for years and years and years.

          A Cotto fan shouldn't critique anybody's defense.

He's definitely gonna have problems but it will make for some crazy fights. Once Angulo catches up with him, I wanna see them go at it.

maybe......but it would be close because of ishe's lack of confidence and low punch output.....hed probably be in the losing end of a close d, just like against julio.....and powell........and mora....

The thing with Kirkland is he is so strong and very big for a jr middleweight, even though he is short, Ann Wolfe don't play, he seems like the strictest trianer in the game, probably tougher than Javier Capetillo. Julio is no slouch and beating him the way he did is very impressive. He'll definitely be a belt holder.
