I don't think this fight is such a gimmie for Floyd. JMM is number 2 PFP, he has good handspeed, and would be the smartest offensive boxer that Floyd has ever got in the ring with. I often considered JMM a poorman's Bernard Hopkins just without all the holding and complaining.

You also have to Factor in that JMM has never been convincenly beat by anyone and even the current PFP champ got a questionable win over the guy. And then there is the ringrust and age factor.

It would not be one sided, because Marquez is one of the best fighters Floyd has ever fought and, he is in his prime. Floyd is not a big WW anyway. The fight would be very competitive. I dont know why people are writing Marquez off, he is an elite fighter not a club fighter.

He would pose more problems than Hatton,Baldomir thats for sure.

                    Brutally

Mayweather could not hurt Gatti and, he was hitting Gatti at will.

Everyone thought Jones would walk over Tarver. It makes no difference how you think the fight would play out. You dont know untill they match up in the ring.

ya i am not saying jmm is a club fighter he is elite and one of my favorite active fighters ... he probably is being counted out a little too much ... i guess for me it just more personal cause i want pbf to fight true elite/prime ww not elite feather/lightweights ...

like larry's saying it doesnt do much for legacy ot money ... gonna make more people hate him if anything ... really its not a good move imo ... for either jmm or pbf.

btw whike i dont consider hatton elite ... i do think he would pose a problem for basically all fighters.
