This is gona be one helluva fight. I think barrera takes it though. Team khan have made a huge mistake in taking on barrera.

I would be prepared for the best ever barrera. Yeah, he's been inactive but that rest might have done him some good.

Noway on earth is he shot. I think he's going to be close to his best. If khan can some how get passed him, then that will say alot about him.

In this thread so far, 6 posts predict Barrera will win, 1 predicts Khan will win, and one sits on the fence. Previous threads about the fight have had similar ratios. So how is that under-rating Barrera?

I think Khan is the one who is being under-rated by many - a lot of posters fail to take into account his improvement under Roach, or the fact that it is possible for a chin to improve, or the fact that Barrera is a small Lightweight who has never fought at the weight before (except against real bums).

Barrera is a great fighter, who is definitely not shot. He is way past his prime though, and his performance against Marquez was remarkable considering that. He definitely poses a huge test for Khan. Most people here seem to think Barrera will win easily. I don't think it will be easy for either of them.

I can assure you Khan's plan isn't to swarm. Khan knows very well that he needs to be smart and patient. This fight won't work out like you think.

I'll respectfully disagree, Phatfarm. I don't see how Barrera can be at his best at this stage of the game. He's 35, been through some wars, and this will be his 73rd fight. He does have a phenomenal amount of experience, but sooner or later father time takes it's toll. I think it already has, and Barrera is way past his best already. If he wasn't, Team Khan would not have even taken the fight!

I agree with Dave Rado's post. This is an extremely hard fight to pick right now. I canceled my bets on it! I had Barrera winning, but there is too much doubt in my mind. Hope he does win, though.

The only chance Barrera has is a lucky punch!!! Are you for real??!!!!

Khan will NEVER be as good as Barrera!

You've got to remember the highest level Khan has ever fought at is Commonwealth. Barrera is in a completely different league.

I think you'll find that if Barrera is even a shadow of his former self then Khan has got big problems. The only way Khan wins this is if he makes it through the first 6-8 rounds and Barrera gasses out.

                Tough ****!

He should only have a good career if he's good enough to do so, not beucause alot has been invested in him.

Absolutely. But he does have real talent, and has been very badly managed so far, IMO. He's on the right track now, having teamed up with Roach, but was very badly trained before then. His match-making has been very poor, going from being over-protected to over-exposed and back, with very few fights he could actually learn from. I think with Roach in his corner he has quite a good chance in this fight, although it's a massive test; and if he gets through it successfully it will have been a great learning experience for him. But it worries me that Warren has been talking about a world title fight soon after that - even if Khan can win this fight (which is a big if), he's nowhere near ready for a world title fight yet. He needs to fight some fringe contenders first, and that seems to be no part of Warren's plan, which is a big shame. I do think that if his talent is wasted due to bad management, that would not be "tough ****", that would be a real shame. I agree that the money invested in him is completely irrelevant though.

its not just roach and pac that have wasted time and money invested in khan, sky sports and frank warren have both made a huge mistake in ppving him, I think khan is actualy massivly overraed especialy here in the UK, ive seen all his fights and all but one fight has been against a genuine lightweight, which he lost, the rest have been super freathers stepping up, no doubt he is fast but he is not a knock out puncher which is why he ha no Knock outs just tkom ok maybe 1 or 2 at the beggingg he knocked out,he is nothing more than a cash cow that many casual fans have been ****** into beleiving the hype, if barrera is half the man he was he wins with ease, seriously its a joke and i dont believe experienced fans are thinking Khan is gona KO mab, though i geus he fits the bill another blown up welter, ppl like kevin mitchel, john murray, jamie moore are of a higher standard than khan and there almost unknown in there own country

not too sure a chin can improve, but im not just hating he dose have talent but he aint world title matarial, i think a solid chin is essential for that.
