A true boxing fan can dislike a person, but still appreciate their skills as a fighter. Someone who hates a boxer so much they let it blind them to being able to appreciate their abilities, and who makes constant irrational statements about the fighter they hate, is not what I regard as a fan of the sport, and many other people agree with me on that.

Maybe the word "ducked" is a little unfair to Mosley (although the reason he gave about needing to see his dentist was a little odd); but the point I was making is completely unaffected by whether or not Mosley had valid reasons for not wanting the fight at that time, so in that context it is irrelevent.

Floyd was laughed at for fighting Baldomir! Then ended up crying in the press conference. The bigger fight was absolutely Margarito and nearly everyone preferred that over Baldomir. Geezus, give it a few years before we start pretending Baldomir was everyone's choice.

Not true, Mayweather was going to fight Spinks @ 154, in which all boxing scribes (Dan Rafeal of ESPN in particular) thought that it was going to be a snoozefest and would have cruicified him if he didn't fight the guy who beat Judah before he did which was Baldi (the undisuputed welterweight champ).
