Cotto vs. Clottey is Nearly Complete For June 13 at MSG

Finally Clottey has his big chance! Fantastic fight, absolutely fantastic. What a year this has been so far! The best year in boxing in the last decade so far.

Personally I actually think that the whole illegal wrapping, plaster being left out, started after the P. Will fight. After Margarito lost he was practically a journeyman. He needed big wins in convincing matter to get him back in the mix and was on a roll. Johnson, Cintron, Cotto all by KO. Then suddenly the wraps are applied 'properly' and he looks helpless against Mosely. Mosely is good but he's not so good as too make Margarito look like a C-rated fighter. I like Margarito more than Mayorga, but Mayorga looked better against Mosely. Either Cotto damaged Margarito more than people thought in their fight or Margarito lost all confidence after being exposed.

I can agree with a lot of your post but Mosley was getting more leverage on his shots. The shots Cotto was throwing he was backing up not sitting on his punches.

How can he ever be a threat to Floyd? Even after the so called top notch fights he has had...LMAO!! Cotto has never been higher than 3 on anybody's pound for pound list..Only 2 top notch fights (Mosley and Margs) and he is 1 and 1 = No threat..

Whether or not Cotto is a threat to Mayweather is something we'll never know. DLH gave Mayweather a fight for his money and Cotto was/is definetly the better fighter at this point of their careers. Cotto would be very competitive against Mayweather and sadly this is a match the we're most likely never going to see.

I agree. Mosely was probably more confident with a plan to fight Margarito. The fact that Mosely is faster than Cotto probably helped him get those shots off more clearly too.

I saw Cotto weakness from 140 and knew it was a matter of time until he meant his finisher because Torres and Corley couldn't finish what they started. If he can beat Clottey (Who is a very Durable fighter) that means that he has developed and can adapt well to a TOP, hungry, PRIME opponent like Clottey. 4th, how old are you guys anyway? I didn't even say anything negative towards Cotto in NO way & you still throwing jabs? I may not be a fan of Miguel Cotto in the ring but I know outside the ring he has class & that's clearly something his fans need and lacks. If you want to fully support Cotto then take lessons from how he conducts himself as a person.
