Maybe you should look up the word quit.
You should get into boxing and have people working your corner that dont give a f*** about you....lol
    That should teach you.

      agreed

2.You obviously believe Clottey needs a KO for a reason...simply put he cannot get a fair decision..easy and straight up.
well, it is PR parade day

3.Unfinished business is correct...but Margarito has an uphill road to get back to Cotto....Its on Cotto to give him a chance that I (in my opinion) believe no one will give him because they have no reason to. Only Cotto for revenge purpose. I see no other BIG Pay day fights for Margarito anytime soon or even later.
the decision is for cotto to make. lets just hope he does the right thing and avenges his loss.

all margo needs is one good fight against a quality opponent to get back in the running.

4.As for speculation that Cotto used mind control to tell his corner to throw in the towel...thats a bit out there...yes he lost but there is a difference in fighting with honor till the end(Cotto was still landing good combos and punches in the 11th) or just anti fans spewing "He quit! He is a quitter" ...In my opinion quitting on your stool is no honor. But your corner trying to keep you alive to fight another day is something else.
c'mon... there's no shame in being forced to quit... cotto was spent. you could tell by the way he was looking at his corner that he didnt think he needed to be pounded on anymore to prove some ****** machismo *****... like cotto said, he saw his wife and kid crying and chose correctly when he put the priority of his family over some false sense of personal honor.

Ive seen fighters get up after a knockdown and when the ref asks them if they want to continue...THey nod or say No....that was not the case with Cotto...no matter how much hate anti fans have.
dlh also knew he was defeated against the smaller pacquiao and had to have his corner throw in the towel. like nacho said... there's no sense in continuing...

in the eyes of and on the level of this message board. doesn;t it hype you up when we give our POVs on cotto/clottey? it makes the anticipation for this fight greater.

you're putting words in my mouth... i never said that. I just think clottey needs to get a KO if he expects to win

I understand that cotto;s standing is higher than marg's right now, but regardless cotto has unfinished business with margarito.

commonmang... we both know cotto wanted to fight to end... his corner threw in the fight because he kept looking towards them to throw in the towel. quitting isn't as shameful as people make it out to be... since when has admitting that you're defeated a bad thing when you are clearly overmatched and beaten? cotto did the right thing by quitting
Clottey put on his running shoes and survived the 12 rounds. He didn't 'go' 12 rounds with Tony.

Quit: to stop, cease, or discontinue.. Yep that describes what Cotto did against Margs..Anything else u want me to define?

No but if you look at that last minute of the fight Cotto got hit with bad body shots and admitted that he lost his legs. What would you have done in that situation: being exhausted, with a broken nose, and taking additional punishment? I don't look at the situation as quitting as much as I do as acknowledging there is no other outcome no matter how much he wanted it. Margarito's corner in the fight with Mosely urged him to stop before the 9th and he didn't, so what happened he took additional shots in what was the inevitable. Sometimes conceding is a better option if not the only one in these situations. In regards to a boxer's health anyway.
