He said Margarito shouldn't be able to fight at all, anywhere, for one year. He believes that should be upheld and believes that Top Rank should enforce the suspension to the fullest.

totally understandable for cotto to be upset with bob arum and top rank for not only defending margarito, but also actively seeking fights in places that won't enforce the ban.

i think all fighters should be upset. the csac was trying to send the message to fighters that ignorance and negligence are not defenses for breaking the rules. they were trying to discourage things like this from happening in the future. what message does it send now? "if you f.uck up it's alright because you can just go fight in another country." hell, i'm upset and i have no stake in this issue at all.

The guys career is in ruins so why be upset? No matter what he does he will always have that stigma of being a cheater so who cares what these *******s say. What does he care if Margarito has the opportunity to fight in Mexico? Why should he be concerned with it? The CSAC made thier decision to ban him, done deal. Now Cotto is talking **** about Tony fighting in Mexico and threatening to leave Top Rank because of this. What a *****. He's still got his panties in a bunch over the beatdown that Tony gave him.

He probably figures that if Tony is off for over a year then he'd have a chance at beating him in the rematch. And the reason he wants out of Top Rank is obvious, it would make a rematch more difficult to put together. He's running from Antonio Margarito. If he's a man and really wants to avenge his defeat he would accept Tony's challenge and fight him in Mexico! If the entire situation was turned around, Antonio Margarito would go to Puerto Rico to whoop that ass.
