watch the fight again closely with no sound......... from the first 8 rounds, if you can find more than 2 rounds to give Joe you need to just watch the fights and not score them........I've been called everything from a "sour bastard" to a "bias yank" when talkin' about this fight ....its cool, I can take it........I agree with Spiegelo ........if the fight happens (I doubt it will) Hopkins has gotta go for the KO and be more agressive than he was in Vegas......I also agree with S a m u r a i.........Calzaghe won the fight and we just gotta live with it........and for the dudes who call us Hopkins fans Calzaghe haters......yall givin' him too much credit when yall call us that, we just admire and support our dude to the fullest......we become 1 with our dude and his battles become ours ........No hate for Calz over here.......you don't have to like someone to respect them, thats life, thats real and thats just how it is!

no health problems and ****m in charge doesn't make this the same fight we saw April 19, 2008........Hopkins wins this in spectacular fashion

      LOL.

Re-match wont even be close now Calzaghe is set at 175.

      Calzaghe 9-3 or 10-2.

As much as i'd like to see this happen I know Calslappy wont ever do it. He had a hard enough time in the first fight and barely squeezed out a split decision win. This against a Hopkins that wasn't fighting his fight that night. Not denying the Brit won but he beat a off B-Hop that night. After seeing the true to form Hopkins destroy Pavlick, theres no way he would take that risk. Especially after he was dodging Pavlick and lying about how he wanted to fight him before. Joe Calslappy is the most overrated fighter out there! Who has he beat honestly? An overrated Lacy, and a washed up Roy Jones. The only fight he deserves credit for is the Kessler fight and thats it. His "undefeated" record is so padded. All he's done his whole career is hide out in England and pick and choose his fights. I could go on and on. Sorry to get off track but he upsets the hell out of me. Fight Dawson, fight Johnson, rematch Kessler & Hopkins. If he would actually fight real fights and not low risk gimme's then he could retire and call himself one of the greatest! Nuff said!

i hope i'm right in saying this but he's gonna be one of the very few boxers to make a come back from retirement, but i do think he should fight him again.
He just about beat Hopkins (he took rounds 1 - 4) but I think Calzaghe did just about enough to win the other 5 - 12, scoring it 115-112 Calzaghe, hard to see it any other way really. It was hard to give Hopkins around when he was always on the back foot and started holding in round 1.
It would be a hell of a rematch if he fought like he did against Pavlik but which Hopkins would we get, B-Hop or Executioner?

His fans think it would be much like the first fight - an ugly, unmatchable, close win for Calzaghe. And you know they do, but you're such a hater that you have to pretend otherwise.

His fans would have loved him to end up with a fight with Dawson, who is at least as much of a threat to his 0 in many of people's opinions, because that would make for a far more exciting fight. Plus Dawson shows proper respect for his opponents, whereas Hopkins sourness after the fight left a bad taste in the mouth, as did his attempted cheating during it.

              Why the retired?

              marquez is calling out mayweather.
now bhop is calling out calzaghe.
why are these GBP boxers calling all out the retired?

why can't marquez call out any of the welterweight champs? why not mosely?
oh, yeah. he can't challenge mosely coz he is a fellow golden boy.

why can't bhop call out chad dawson? or glen johnson? or adamek?

People forget that Calzaghe came from a lower weight class and beat the worlds no4 p4p boxer.

The record says Calzaghe - W

Hopkins stay winning. Calzaghe not taking a rematch is a moral loss. No excuse for a return bout not taking place when the 1st fight was a SD (the 1st fight being "ugly" is not a reason), he couldn't even use the ol' "I'm gettin' old" excuse here if he tried lol.

Calzaghe already won a boringly close fight. Sure Hopkins gave Joe trouble for a few rounds but Joe figured Hop out and then started dominating a fighter that always finished strong, except against JC he was faking getting hit low to buy time in the championship rounds. Joe would beat Hop the entire fight now that Joe figured him out, but it would be a boring fight that would go to a decision again and the same people that thought Hop won will say he won again regardless of how badly Joe beats him... Pointless fight!

Calzaghe doesn't need excuses, he won the first fight. And people age differently. If Calzaghe doesn't come back within the next 6 months, he should stay permanently retired. He has been showing signs of wear for years now.
