Because Calzaghe doesn't have knockout power that's probably why.

He certainly doesn't have devastating power and never did, but he had fairly good knock-out power before all the hand injuries. He had 33 KOs out of 46 fights; 10 fights ended in the first round. 8 fights ended in the second round. And he almost stopped Kessler with a single body punch.
