Margarito Warns Cotto To Keep His Mouth Shut

I agree. I was just wondering what his point about a 'worse' loss was. A loss is a loss, and whether it comes via knee, throwing in the towel, or KO it's still bad in my opinion. Cotto just seemed to know the inevitable. He lost his legs and accepted the loss. Kinda like a chess player resigns when a win is hopeless.Comment

I didnt mean that..but think about it.....who the hell is waiting for Margarito?
Who is really waiting or even willing to prove something against Margarito?
P. Williams? Clottey? Mosley?Hatton? Pac?
Now if you put Cottos name in front of those same boxers.....Im sure they will either want the pay day or want to prove they are the best.
Willaims beat him.
Clottey is looking for bigger and better things.
Mosley beat him bad.
Hatton wont waste his time with a bigger man that does nothing for him.
Pac has way too many opportunities.
Cotto is the best option and Margarito feels he can redeem himself if he wins (knowing they will check his wraps well) money and rep wise.Comment

Williams would definitely take the fight for a rematch ( and supposedly because no one wants to fight him ). Clottey would take the fight because he needs to avenge that loss. Berto would take the fight just to establish himself even more in the welterweight division. Mosley would take the rematch. However, I do agree this is all dependent on the points in their careers a year from now. We don't know what's going to happen within the welterweight division a year from now. Cotto is a attractive boxer because of the skills he possesses. However, I think what makes him most attractive is that he only has one loss and he's represented by Bob Arum who puts him on the pedestal.Comment

Then why is it that Margarito who has a win over Cotto has been the one calling him out? Why hasn't he directed his calls to Mosely who has a devastating win over him? Your logic in theory might be correct but thats not how things go down. Whether or not the fight was close to P. Will or not he should have attempted to avenge his loss. An L is still an L.Comment
