That's the whole reason he's considering Paquiao, business and I don't think he's ducking anybody. He already beat Mosley and said he would fight Clottey. We'll see, hopefully he doesn't dissapoints when he chooses the opponent for June.

Arum wantin' Cotto to fight Pac is one of the reasons......Cintron is more beatable and more lucrative $$$ wise, and with the economy in the toilet......its the smartest move, business wise.

As you can see, Cotto and Paquiao are about the same size except for Cotto being at his natural weight. The reason Margarito was critizized is because he's already big at WW. He's being milking his ability to make 147lbs. because he is not as effective at 154lbs. He has a 4" advantage in height and a 6" advantage in reach over Paquiao. That's why people talked s.h.i.t. I don't blame the guy for wanting to fight Pac because it's a big payday which is the reason Cotto and Mosley want to fight him too. I want to see Cotto-Clottey and Mosley-Berto with the winners facing each other at the end of the year. For Margarito though, I can care less if he fights again!, fu.ck.ing cheater!
The most important part of your statement was Cotto is at his natural weight. Pacquiao would probably have to come to 145 or even 147 to fight Cotto. That's insance for a guy who fought at 130 range just a couple of months ago. Don't matter which way you put it. It's a huge disadvantage for Pacquiao, hence Cotto would be fighting a much smaller fighter. Grustler put best, Cotto needs to clean the WW division and not worry about the smaller fighter, no matter how big they are.

Bob Arum would make the most money from a Pacquiao v Cotto match, and it would be a huge fight...
but obviously and even biased people can see that a match with Mayweather and Pacquiao would probably shatter some ppv records or atleast come close

It'd be an exciting fight and a big event, but I don't think that Pacquiao would be able to hang with Cotto.

bottomline we know pac is too small for cotto, so he should fight mosley and clottey

We got a lot of hyprocrites in this forum, I tell ya.

It's wrong for many WW's to fight Pacquiao. Not just Tony and Cotto. But it is more aceptable for Cotto to fight Pac than MARGARITO, PAUL WILLIAMS, CINTRON, and any other boxer able to get in the ring with 160-165 lbs overnight.

In a 145lbs fight, Pac and Cotto are not going to be so far away from each other by the time they enter the ring. PW can do 145 lbs. He did it last year. Imagine PAc and PW in the same ring. A ****ing Circus!!!

EXACTLY!!! Everyone wants big money fights. And the man to beat right now is Pacquiao. Like JMM said on his post fight interview. "I want to beat the best P4P, but PBF won't fight. I guess fighting the 2nd best is what I might to settle for." Not only the rivalry between the two is a great must see fight, but the money that comes with the rivalry is "priceless" because of the name Pacquiao... Anyone having a shot to negotiate for a fight with Pacquiao will consider it. I don't blame Cotto for wanting the fight. It's not his fault been a "small WW".
