Now you're reaching. The IBF is just following the rules. As disgusted as I was to hear Guzman was getting the shot in the first place, I was not angry with the IBF because they were simply following the rules. And here, they pulled his fight fax, and it shows the suspension from Mississippi. That renders him ineligible, and they have to go to the next guy down the line. My guess is it will be Prescott, unless Nanthanchai accepts it.

Given that Funeka lost to someone who was overweight, and who vacated the belts, they could surely have made an exception for Funeka in this case and given him a shot.

I don't think Prescott's ready to fight for a world title yet, he needs more learning fights, IMO.

If Guzbum is so good all he has to do is take on an unbeaten young lion thats looking to prove himself...but like most of his career he is "playing it safe"...and please no one bring up his Split decision win over Barrios or Soto. Its becoming an echo.

Very disappointing. Yeah ok he failed to make weight and screwed hismelf out of the Campbell fight. that's punishment enough. Not like other fighters haven't made weight (nate campbell, diego corrales, castillo, etc etc etc etc etc etc)

joan guzman has skills but i just never liked the guy. i hope he gets hiss ass beat before he works his way back up so we will never see him fight in big fights. hes almost there...33yrs old.
